Hair & make-up for a wedding at Loft Studios in West London

“Finding a make-up artist for the most important day of your life is never going to be easy but in Catherine, you can rest assured that not only will you look like the most beautiful version of yourself, you will feel comfortable at every point along the way. I loved the natural look that Catherine offers which never made me feel like I was covered up or painted, but rather left me feeling that who I was had been enhanced in the loveliest way. If Catherine ends up being an integral part of your day as a bride, you will be extremely fortunate”Alexandra Laverick

Gorgeous flame haired bride Alex (pictured here with her mum) got married at Loft Studios in Kensal Green in West London:

Loft Studios in a great ‘blank canvas’ wedding venue, who say that they can turn anyone’s wedding vision into a reality. They’ve got full styling, sound and lighting on site, plus bar services and great catering, from high-end gourmet service to fun courtyard barbeques.

Alex’s wedding day was captured beautifully by London wedding photographer Chloe at Caught The Light:

Alex wanted a very natural but enhanced pretty and glowy make-up look for her wedding day in June.  I buffed on Charlotte Tilbury Light Wonder foundation in the lightest shade ‘1 Fair’ to even out her skin tone, and Tarte Shape Tape Concealer to disguise some dark shadows she had under her eyes. I then set everything with Vichy Dermablend Setting Powder and some light bronzing powder to warm and sculpt her face.

I used Chanel blusher in the shade ‘Discretion’, which is a soft pink with a delicate shimmer, and Laura Mercier highlighter all over for a subtle glow to her complexion. I used Urban Decay eyeshadows in ‘Skimp’ and ‘Bathwater’ on her lids, and dark brown pencil  and plenty of mascara to give her eyes more definition on camera.

Finally, I applied Bobbi Brown lipstick in the shade ‘Retro Pink’, a sheer candy pink, to complete her fresh and pretty look.

Alex wanted an elegant but natural hair style, so I curled her hair on a large tong and left it to set. Later on, I gently brushed out her hair and styled it into a soft half up do, with looped and twisted sections at the back, for an effortless look.

Alex’s stunning, delicately hand-embroidered wedding dress was designed by Jenny Packham:
