Hair & make-up for an elegant Jewish wedding in London
“Catherine did a brilliant job and we were so happy with the results. Catherine managed to understand the look that we all wanted without us putting it fully into words. She has a great eye for style. Catherine was also a pleasure to work with, very organised and easily contactable. Overall a great experience.” – Harriet Nerva
Delightful bride Harriet got married at Marble Arch Synagogue on a very rainy but very happy day in October!

After hydrating Harriet’s skin with Superfacialist Rose Day Cream, I used Clarins Instant Smooth primer where needed, and then buffed in Charlotte Tilbury Light Wonder foundation in shade no. 2 to even out her skin tone.
I set her base using setting powder and a light bronzing powder, before dusting a neutral-toned blusher on the apples of her cheeks – I used MAC ‘Warm Soul’. I then applied a light pearly highlighter all over to give her an extra bridal glow!
For Harriet’s eyes, I created a soft smoky eye using Too Faced eyeshadows in ‘Amaretto’ and ‘Marzipan’, with a fine line of black eyeliner along her lashline and then some Ardell 110 lashes for extra flutter. I filled in any gaps in her brows with a taupe brow powder from Anastasia Beverley Hills, before setting them with a clear brow gel.
For the lips I used Charlotte Tilbury lipstick in ‘Amazing Grace’ which is a classic warm mid-toned pink.
Harriet wanted a simple but elegant side bun, so I straightened her naturally curly, frizz-prone hair, before tying it into a low side ponytail and then creating a bun shape from that hair. I then curled the remaining hair near her ears and twisted and inserted them into the bun, before spraying everything with Moroccanoil hair spray to set it and prevent frizz.
