Benefit Highlighters: ‘Watt’s Up’ & ‘High Beam’

Benefit Highlighters: ‘Watt’s Up’ & ‘High Beam’

Many people wouldn’t probably use highlighter on a daily basis, but they should! If you’re looking at all tired, it will perk up your face brilliantly and is one of the best anti-ageing tricks around.

The best thing about highlighter is that it catches the light and gives the face dimension. If you use it on your brow bones, it will give you a mini ‘eye lift’. On the top of the cheekbones, it will give you definition, especially if you use a darker shader under the cheekbones. You can also use it down the centre of your nose to create the illusion of a slimmer nose, or along your Cupid’s bow to create the illusion of fuller lips – genius!

Here are three of my current favourite highlighters – on the left is Jemma Kidd’s (sadly now discontinued) Dewy Glow in ‘Iced Gold’. In the middle is Benefit’s ‘Watt’s Up’, a champagne coloured shimmering cream stick which is fab for yellow toned, fair to medium skin tones:

On the right is Benefit’s ‘High Beam’, a silvery pink liquid that is amazing for very fair, more pink toned skins:
