CONCEALERS: Bobbi Brown ‘Creamy Concealer’, Benefit ‘Boi-ing’ and Maybelline ‘Super Stay’

OK, so it’s not the most thrilling make-up subject in the world, but unless you happen to have the complexion of a supermodel, concealer is an absolute essential in your make-up bag!

The first thing to note is that you should really own TWO types of concealer – a sheer, hydrating and light-reflective formula for under the eyes, and a thicker, more opaque, and ideally matte formula to cover spots and other blemishes on the face.

One of my favourites for drier skin types is Bobbi Brown ‘Creamy Concealer’ – these little pots are expensive but a little goes a long way, as they’re densely pigmented, and they come in a huge range of shades for every skin tone:

I also really like Benefit ‘Boi-ing Industrial Strength Concealer’ for covering blemishes, as it gives good coverage but doesn’t go cakey, and comes in six shades:

A great budget/drugstore option, which I’ve repurchased countless times, is Maybelline ‘Super Stay Concealer’ which is a very smooth concealer with good coverage and decent staying power:
