Make-up for a wedding at Gate Street Barn near Guildford in Surrey

“All of us were very happy with the results and Catherine listened really carefully to what we all wanted. Our make-up still looked good at the end of the day even though it was baking hot!”Rebekah Cooper

Bex got married at the beautiful Gate Street Barn in the Surrey countryside in the middle of the August heat wave: https://www.gatestreetbarn.com/

Gate Street Barn is built in the traditional style using wood from oak trees, and is in a secluded setting in the Surrey Hills, five miles south of Guildford.  It boasts beautiful landscaped gardens and views of the working organic farm, and can seat 150 guests during the day and up to 200 guests in the evening, with a choice of six catering companies. There’s also a special room for the bride to get ready in!

Bex’s wedding day was captured beautifully by Surrey wedding photographer Sophie Duckworth:

I began by using Avene Skin Recovery Cream, as Bex has very sensitive skin, followed a little green primer to hide any redness and flushing on her cheeks, and Charlotte Tilbury Light Wonder foundation in ‘1 Fair’.

I used a nude-pink blusher on her cheeks, and Laura Mercier Matte Radiance Baked Powder in ‘Highlight 01’ all over to give her skin a subtle pearly glow.

I used a sparkling silvery eye shadow on her lids and some dark brown eye shadow along the lash line for subtle definition, and Ardell 110 lashes for a romantic look.

MAC lipstick in ‘Creme Cup’, a delicate pink shade, pulled together this fresh and pretty look.
