Makeup for a wedding at Ramster Hall in Surrey

Ramster Hall is a family-run wedding venue just outside the pretty village of Chiddingfold in Surrey. It features three impressive halls set around a courtyard, and is surrounded by 20 acres of beautiful gardens. It can be hired exclusively either as a wedding reception venue or for a civil ceremony for up to 160 guests.

The bride wanted a super-natural make-up look for her wedding day, to complement her plaited up do by Lucy at Hair That Turns Heads.

I began by using Avene Skin Recovery Cream all over, as Emily has very sensitive skin, followed a little smoothing primer, and Charlotte Tilbury Light Wonder foundation in the shade ‘1 Fair’, which is their lightest shade.  I then used a little NARS Soft Matte Complete Concealer in the shade ‘Vanilla’ wherever she needed a little more coverage, before setting everything by buffing in some translucent powder and dusting on some Benefit Hoola Lite bronzing powder to warm her complexion.

I used a light, neutral blusher to warm her cheeks (Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in ‘Mood Exposure’), and Laura Mercier Matte Radiance Baked Powder in ‘Highlight 01’ to highlight her cheekbones.

I used a softly shimmering light pink eye shadow on her lids, and lots of brown waterproof mascara to help define her eyes.
