Make-up and hair styling for a country wedding at Gate Street near Guildford

Katie had a gorgeous countryside wedding at Gate Street, a very popular wedding venue in Bramley, which is not far from Guildford in Surrey: https://gatestreet.co.uk/

Gate Street has an enchanting rural setting with multiple spaces for your wedding day experience. The rustic Barn is the perfect place for your ceremony, before you head out to the Orangery and landscaped wedding garden for your drinks reception. Then as the evening draws in, the elegant lights in the Barn create the perfect ambience for a night of dancing!

To create Katie’s bridal make-up look, I applied L’Oreal ‘True Match’ foundation in shade no. 1N (1 Neutral) to even out her skin tone, and a little Charlotte Tilbury ‘Beautiful Skin’ concealer in shade 4.5 to hide any shadows under her eyes, before setting her base with the Huda Beauty ‘Easy Bake’ loose setting powder in the shade ‘Pound Cake’.

I then warmed up her face with the Too Faced bronzer in ‘Milk Chocolate’, which is a light neutral bonzing powder ideal for blondes, and a custom blend of blushers – I used NARS ‘Sex Appeal’ which is a very light peach, mixed with the Dior ‘Backstage Blush’ in ‘Rosy Glow’ which is a light pink.

I applied the rose gold shades from the Natasha Denona ‘Mini Biba’ eyeshadow palette on Katie’s lids, then defined her eyes softly with the dark brown eyeshadow from the same palette, followed by two coats of waterproof mascara.

To create a natural pink lip, I applied the Charlotte Tilbury lip pencil in ‘Pillow Talk,’ followed by the Charlotte Tilbury lipstick in ‘Pillow Talk Fair’, which is a light neutral pink.

Katie has very fine, silky shoulder length hair which she wanted in a up do to complement her pearl headband, so I created a soft up do for her using some hair padding and hair extensions, to create the illusion of more volume.
