Bridal hair and makeup for a boho wedding in East London
Florence had a cool and relaxed urban wedding in East London, captured by London-based wedding photographer Maria Woodford: https://www.iammariawoodford.com/
To create Flo’s bridal make-up look, I applied Charlotte Tilbury ‘Beautiful Skin’ foundation in shade no. 1 to even out her skin tone, and a little Charlotte Tilbury ‘Beautiful Skin’ concealer in shade 4 to hide any shadows under her eyes, before setting her base with the Huda Beauty ‘Easy Bake’ loose setting powder in the shade ‘Pound Cake’.
As Flo is very fair with a neutral undertone to her skin, I warmed up her face with the fairest shade of the YSL bronzer and a little Dior ‘Backstage Blush’ in ‘Rosy Glow’ to create a light pink flush on her cheeks.
I applied silvery taupe shades from the Natasha Denona ‘I Need A Nude’ eyeshadow palette, and then defined her eyes softly with a dark taupe eyeshadow as ‘liner’, followed by two coats of Dior brown waterproof mascara.
To create a berry lip, I applied the Charlotte Tilbury lip pencil in ‘Supersize Me’, followed by the bride’s own MAC lipstick in ‘Mehr’, which is a deeper mauve-pink.
Flo has very fine, silky hair which she wanted in a textured side plait to complement her boho flower crown and one shoulder dress, which is ‘Adelaide’ from Whistles. To do this, I gave her a salt blow dry, and then clipped in two blonde hair extensions, to create the illusion of more volume in her fishtail braid. I then softly waved the tendrils around her face.
