Make-up for a wedding at The Carlton Club in London

Delightful bride Rachel got married at The Carlton Club in London: http://www.carltonclub.co.uk/. I love this shot of Rachel in a quiet moment before the day begins, captured by Eva Tarnok photography: http://www.evatarnok.com/.
Rachel wore a beautiful ivory chiffon beaded gown by Eliza Jane Howell: http://www.elizajanehowell.com/

To create Rachel’s classically glamorous make-up look, I firstly applied Liz Earle Sheer Skin Tint in ‘Bare 01′ and Clarins Instant Concealer in ’01’ to enhance her beautiful porcelain skin. I then set her base by lightly brushing some Dermablend Setting Powder where needed, and dusted Laura Mercier ‘Matte Radiance 01’ powder all over to give her skin a delicate peachy glow.

I warmed her cheeks by applying MAC powder blusher in ‘Rosy Outlook’ – this blusher is a real favourite of mine for fair-skinned brides as it gives peachy-pink bloom to the skin and has a sheer, super-fine texture.

I kept the eyes simple and classic by applying neutral shades from the Urban Decay Gwen Stefani palette – I used the pearl beige ‘Skimp’ on the lid and the light taupe ‘Stark’ in the crease. I then applied a fine line of Maybelline gel eyeliner in dark brown, and some Eylure Cheryl lashes.

For Rachel’s bold lips, I used Bobbi Brown lipstick in ‘Red’ for classic Hollywood glamour!

“Catherine did the most fantastic trial and make-up for my wedding day! She really listened to what I wanted and made me look the best I ever have! All her products are really high quality and she was very professional, putting together a chart after the trial and arriving early to both appointments. I could not recommend her more highly.” – Rachel Watts
