Make-up for a beautiful winter wedding at Botleys Mansion

Botleys Mansion is a grand Palladian country house set amid 56 acres of beautiful Surrey countryside. It’s brilliantly run by Bijou wedding venues who are known for their great service, and you can hire the mansion for your own exclusive use for the day. It offers a choice of stylish spaces in which to host your wedding, and has been tastefully refurbished over the years. The venue oozes elegance and charm, and the grounds and perfectly manicured gardens are the perfect backdrop for your wedding photographs.
To give Melissa an even canvas for her foundation, I first applied Clarins Instant Smooth Perfecting Touch primer where needed. I then buffed in Charlotte Tilbury Light Wonder foundation in shade no. 3 with a Zoeva 102 Silk Finish foundation brush to give her a sheer and glowy base.
Melissa had some dark shadows under her eyes (she’s a busy mum with two small kids, so it’s understandable!) so I covered this with the new Charlotte Tilbury Magic Vanish peach corrector in the lightest shade, followed by Tarte Shape Tape concealer in ‘Light’, which provides fantastic coverage without looking cakey.
I then warmed her skin using Benefit Hoola Lite bronzing powder and Charlotte Tilbury blusher in ‘Love Glow’, which is a peachy-pink shade with a soft sheen. To add extra glow to her skin, I used the Fenty Beauty highlighter in ‘Lightning Dust’ which is a soft pale peach shade.
Melissa wanted the main emphasis of the make-up look to be on her eyes, so I used a black liquid eyeliner, which I then set and softened with dark grey eye shadows, before applying individual lashes for a little extra drama. For her brows, I used a taupe brow powder and then set them in place with Soap Brows.
Melissa wanted to go for a very natural-looking lip, so I applied a mix of NARS lip gloss in ‘Chelsea Girls’ and Fenty Beauty lip gloss in ‘Fenty Glow’.
