Tropic cruelty free make-up
So this week I’ve been trying out some cosmetics from Tropic Skincare, which is a natural, cruelty free and vegan friendly British skincare and make-up range.
This award-winning range is ideal for those with sensitive skin and/or who prefer to use products that have not been tested on animals: http://www.tropicskincare.com/
Pictured here on the left is the Mineral Eyeshadow Palette (£18) in ‘Brown Eyed Girl’, which is a pretty quad consisting of a pearlised ivory, matt taupe, shimmering bronze and matte chocolate brown. These shades are very versatile, well-pigmented and very smooth in texture.
In the middle is the Illuma Brightening Concealer (£18), which is very similar to YSL’s cult product ‘Touche Eclat’ in that it is a light-reflecting wand that you can use to brighten your under-eye area, to soften fine lines around the mouth etc, and also to use as a highlighting pen on the bridge of your nose, tops of cheekbones etc. It also contains botanicals and Vitamin E to reduce signs of fatigue.
On the right is their Brow Define palette (£18) in the shade ‘Ochre’, which contains a very subtle pearly cream highlighter which you can use to highlight your brow bones – this enhances the natural arch of your brows and gives a ‘facelift’ effect – and a mid brown brow powder, which you can apply with an angled brush to fill out any gaps in your brows and make them look more groomed and defined.
