‘Italian Summer Fig’ perfume by The Body Shop
Recently I’ve been really into a new perfume from The Body Shop called ‘Italian Summer Fig’. I think it’s a perfect scent for late summer/early Autumn as it’s fresh, green and quite fruity. It reminds me of holidays on the Greek islands, even when it’s pouring with rain outside!
‘Italian Summer Fig’ opens with the crisp, juicy and slightly earthy smell of fig leaves, and then transitions into a very soft ‘skin scent’ of sweet, almost milky green figs.
Lots of people have been comparing it to Diptyque’s iconic fragrance ‘Philosykos’, which retails at a hefty £58 for 50ml, but this is a much more affordable £18 for 50ml. However, the longevity of ‘Italian Summer Fig’ isn’t great, in fact I can hardly smell it on my wrist after only an hour. It doesn’t put me off though, I just keep spritzing more on!
