The Body Shop ‘Italian Summer Fig’ perfume
Recently I’ve been really into a perfume from The Body Shop called ‘Italian Summer Fig’. I think it’s a perfect scent for hot summer days as it’s fresh, green and fruity – despite the name, it actually reminds me of holidays on the Greek islands, rather than Italy!
‘Italian Summer Fig’ opens with the juicy and slightly earthy smell of fig leaves, and then transitions into a very soft ‘skin scent’ of sweet, almost milky green figs.
Lots of people have been comparing it to Diptyque’s iconic fragrance ‘Philosykos’, which retails at a hefty £58 for 50ml, but this is a much more affordable £18 for 50ml. However, the longevity of ‘Italian Summer Fig’ isn’t great, in fact I can hardly smell it on my wrist after only an hour. It doesn’t put me off though, I just keep spritzing more on!
